The game was nowhere nearas entertaining as the original.ДЇinally, in March 2005, Capcom went the prequel route in deliveringDanteвЂ™s Awakening in an attempt to bring the game back to its roots. Okay, there are fans who think suchstatements are a bit harsh, but letвЂ™s be honest. In 2003, Capcom released a sequel, Devil May Cry 2, which stunned the gamingworld because it was really, really, bad. Itreally was a landmark title back in 2001.

The original pretty much invented thehighly stylized, flashy combat that we see in many action/adventures today. ItвЂ™s not a fighting game in the way that SoulCalibur is a fighting game rather itвЂ™s a third-person action/adventure inwhich you do a whole lot of fighting. The original Devil May Cry is considered to be one of the most influentialfighting games of all time. (Dante is the son of a human mother and a devil princefather named Sparda.) In addition to you, as the hero, the story revolves aroundDanteвЂ™s estranged twin brother, Vergil. Personally, I wanted to slice the DVD into bits with a wild stabof my Ginsu knife and bury the remains out in the woods.right next to my copyof Dukes of Hazzard: Racing for Home.Дevil May Cry 3 takes place before you, as the playable character Dante,become aware of his demonic heritage and before the formation of the Devil Maењњry devil hunting agency. Itseems necessary to mention here because many fans and critics regard it as afantastic game. Such is the case with Devil May Cry 3: DanteвЂ™s Awakening. The team, led by new director Hideaki Itsuno after Hideki Kamiya departed for PlatinumGames, was committed to making the best experience possible, so they laid it all on the line and vowed to quit if the game disappointed. During development, though, the minds behind the game were not certain of success. Looking back, the statement title set the course for the series after Devil May Cry 2 underwhelmed, and all of its accolades and praise seem quite well deserved. Devil May Cry 3 just turned 15 years old on February 17, but one of DanteвЂ™s definitive adventures is still alive and well with an updated Switch version that just came to town with Style Switching, Weapon Switching, and Bloody Palace co-op.
